In this learning collaborative, teams from six participating states will each work on a project designed to build competence in the areas of mapping policies (i.e., legal mapping) and communicating about geographic health disparities.<\/p>\n<h3>Project Details<\/h3>\n<p>During the course of the collaborative, teams from each state will plan and conduct a\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.cdc.gov\/phlp\/publications\/topic\/resources\/legalepimodel\/domain2.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">legal mapping<\/a>\u00a0project on a tobacco law\/policy topic within your jurisdiction (e.g., collecting and analyzing ordinances in X number of cities and counties across Pennsylvania). If capacity exists, participating teams may code a second cancer-related law\/policy topic.\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/publichealthlawresearch.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Temple University\u2019s Center for Public Health Law Research<\/a>\u00a0(CPHLR) will provide policy surveillance training and additional support throughout the course of the project.<\/p>\n<h3>How to Apply<\/h3>\n<p>If you would like to take part in this exciting opportunity,\u00a0<strong>please <a href=\"https:\/\/docs.google.com\/forms\/d\/e\/1FAIpQLSfw5lnAaCtEWZL4kV2HvHBPpe-ABbs0WjqMsbdHdVVyBNf1rg\/viewform?gxids=7628\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">complete the Application Form<\/a> by <del>Friday, April 23, 2021<\/del><\/strong><del>.<\/del> <em><strong>The deadline has been extended to Friday, April 30, 2021.<\/strong><\/em> You will only need to complete one application per state, so please coordinate with other team members before submitting.
